Delivery

Where do you deliver?


Both our pack lunches and snacks are delivered Nationwide across the UK. Some of our products such as our Group Bundles are only available in parts of Central London (please contact us to determine eligibility).




How much is delivery?


Delivery for our kids meals range between £3.99 to £5.99. By placing a weekly subscription with us you will automatically qualify for cheaper deliveries.




Why does delivery cost that much?


We prioritise product quality and safety over anything else. Our delivery costs are as a result of the packaging systems and logistic services we use to ensure that our meals reach you just as they left our kitchen.




When do deliveries occur?


Our meals are delivered in slots on Friday direct to your delivery address for the following week. If you are not home it will be left in a safe location for you to collect. Do not worry as our chilled packaging systems will allow our meals to remain fresh for up to 48 hours in transit.




What happens if my chilled meals are delivered warm?


All chilled deliveries are delivered with next day delivery and should arrive chilled. If in the instance your meals do not arrive chilled please DO NOT consume them and let us know immediately so that we can rectify the issue as soon as we can. We will get a new order despatched right away or issue you a refund if this option is not suitable for you.





Storage

How long can your products be stored for?


All of our products are clearly labelled with a Use By Date which should be followed. As a result of our packaging our meals can remain fresh for more than a week in the fridge, while our snacks can last up to one month if stored in a dry, cool place.




How do I store your products?


Our meals should be refrigerated immediately upon delivery with a shelf life of 7+ days. Our snacks can be stored at room temperature for a duration of 2-4 weeks. We always recommend following the Use By date on each of our products.




Can I freeze your meals?


We do not recommend freezing any snacks or meals (some meals do not re-heat as well). The meal trays are freezer safe, so it is possible to freeze and reheat meals if you are comfortable with doing so independently (no instructions are provided for this).




How will your meals remain fresh after a few days?


We have done extensive research to get the best possible packaging to maintain product quaility and taste. We remove oxygen from our meals which allows it to stay fresh for more than 7 days in a chilled environment. We always recommend following the Use By date on all of our chilled meal products.





Subscribing

How do I subscribe?


During your first bundle purchase we will provide you with the option to learn more about our subscriptions. If you select YES, we will send you multiple subscription options that you can use to purchase directly from us.




How do I manage my subscription (e.g. pause, change food preferences)


You can easily amend your subscription information - such as address details, pausing or cancelling your subscription in your 'My Subscriptions' page on your members profile. You can find this in the top right corner of our website or in the menu section (if using mobile). If this is your first time logging in you will need to create an account (via Google, Facebook or by email). Our form will allow you to select your favourite meals for the following week, and change any personal preferences (i.e. vegetable, fruit, add-on selections). What do I do if I don’t like certain products in my subscription?


We appreciate children can be picky and there may be certain flavours that they don't like as much. We have made this process super easy for you to manage on our website. Just head on over to your 'My Subscriptions' page on your members profile to complete our form to let us know what changes you would like for the following week. Please note that we have a deadline for changes to be implemented for the following week. This should be stated on our form. If you get stuck don't worry, we are here to help. Allergies

Do you cater for allergies?


All of our products are clearly labelled with any of the 14 major allergens present. Our kitchen is also completely peanut free. Our meals however are not prepared in a nut-free kitchen. Whilst we take every step necessary to avoid cross-contamination we are unable to guarantee that this has not occurred.





Product

Do you do fresh, hot meals for large groups in nurseries, schools and more?


Yes we do! However, due to the complexity of the order we request that you email support@littlelunchbox.co.uk with your name, business address and product inquiry and we will get back to you as soon as we can.




What age range are your snacks and meals suitable for?


Our meals are safe for children above the age of 3 and extend all the way to kids in Secondary school. In fact, even adults can enjoy our foods too if they wish.




Is your packaging recyclable?


All of our packaging is recyclable for both our meals and snack boxes except for our inner foil liners and ice packs. The contents of each ice pack is safe to touch and can be disposed off down any regular kitchen sink. The ice packs and foil liners can should only be thrown in household waste. We are working hard to introduce new packaging that can be 100% recycled.

What if I am unhappy with my service or product


We strive to provide the best customer service possible. If there is anything unsatisfactory with your order we would love to hear it. Drop us an email on support@littlelunchbox.co.uk with your name, email and product issue.





Consumption

Can your meals be enjoyed cold?


Our meals are safe to eat cold but we recommend heating certain meals (standard and premium) in the microwave for your children.




How do I safely prepare your meals?


Each individual meal comes in a vacuum bag and a brown compostable tray. To heat first cut the vacuum packaging open, then remove any non-microwaveable components (e.g. fruit, crisps or snacks). Once complete, slide the tray back into the plastic sleeve and microwave for 1.5 minutes. If meals are for school we recommend putting this into a high-quality thermos for the day (recommended ones are available in our shop). Our trays are not ovenable - so if you would like to heat up our meals using an oven please transfer the contents to a oven-safe tray beforehand.




What if my meals are for nursery or school?


We recommend purchasing a high-quality thermos for your children first (recommendations are available in our shop). In the morning fill your thermos with warm water while preparing any one of our meals. Once ready, empty the thermos and fill with our hot food, then seal immediately. A good quality thermos can keep our food warm for up to 5 hours.
